Abstract
In Northern Nigeria, tsetse flies (Glossina) are commonly controlled or eradicated by means of persistent deposits of insecticides from sprays applied to the vegetation in fly-infested areas. Spraying is usually timed so that the deposits are present during the dry-season months of November-March, but recently some attention has been given to spraying during the wet season.
