Abstract
From the nine papers presented and the discussion that followed it was evident that those who are actively engaged or are associated with the implementation of wildlife education programmes are fully aware of the problems and shortcomings of any particular programme. The factors limiting the development of wildlife education and the extent to which any existing programme can be enlarged and the success of programmes are either all or some combination of the following: insufficient finance: lack of trained and semi-trained staff: lack of co-ordination of effort; inadequate facilities: and shortage of equipment.
