Abstract
The Report on the Kenya Agricultural Census, 1954, [1] contains much useful information which, taken together, provides a broad picture of the pattern of farming in the Kenya Highlands. This article attempts to analyse some of this information with a view to discerning rotation relationships in arable farming. The cropping data relating to the four main arable areas, Naivasha, Nakuru, Uasin Gishu and Trans Nzoia, are brought together in Table I:
