Abstract
The grazing quality of the North Mara Highland grasslands appears to have suffered extensive deterioration due to uncontrolled grazing, and uncontrolled burning over a period of time, Coarse, wiry, tufted grasses such as Pennisetum catabasis, Aristida adoensis and Sporobolus indicus became dominant, especially PennisellIm catabasis, which occurs in great abundance over wide areas in this district.
