Abstract
Ethiopia depends and will continue to depend almost entirely on agriculture for its prosperity. From an agricultural point of view it is one of the richest countries in the world, with immense variations of altitude and climate, deep rich soil, and, except for certain well-defined areas, ample rainfall. Serious droughts appear to be unknown, but periodical locust infestations occur.
