Abstract
The first article in this series Northmore, 1965a) explained the reasons for using sodium bisulphite in coffee fermentation and summarised the history of the use of this reagent in Kenya.The results of some laboratory and small-scale estate experiments were given and it was stated that further experiments on a full factory scale would be made during the 1965 main picking season. The results of these experiments, which were conducted at the Coffee Research Station, are reported in this paper.
