Abstract
According to instruction DTH/UR-302816, the purpose of the mission to Kenya "Tas: 1 - 'l'o get familiarized with the main soils of Kenya in the field, and. to assess the advantages of soil micromorpholo~ical research for their properchmracterization and for the determination of their suitability for aGricultural use. 2 - To assess the existing and planned facilities at the Kenya Soil Survey offices, in view of installing a micropedological facility, and to recommend the scope and type of equipment to be erdered for this purpose from Dutch Project funds. 3 - To explain the uses of micropedological techniques to the Soil Survey Staff (and to the Staff and students of the Department of Soil Science of Nairobi University), through a series of lectures and exercises on examples of Kenyan soils.
