Abstract
All experimental animals were either reared in isolation on the Veterinary Research Farm, Kabete, or brought from farms vi th herds known to be free of contagious oaprine and bovine I pleuropneumonia and kept in isolation for at least 2 months prior. ~o experiment. Routinely before inoculation all experimental animals were treated with thiabendazolel and Amprol2 and their taeoes examined for worm eggsand ooooidial oocyts. Experimental animals were bled prior to inooulation and at intervals thereafter. Experimental groups were balanoed as far as possible for breed, sex, and age. Oontrol animals were housed separately in similar oonditions to those of the infeoted group. The two kroups were looked after by different attendants.
