Abstract
Increase in population or the familiar concept of population explosion implies also increase in various essential demands which included forest products like wood and timber for building furniture poles for electrification projects and even firewood for domestic purposes paper and pulp production industries continuously increase their demand for raw materials in order to meet the need for fast expanding population. In all this processes natural forest are not only wastefully exploited but also often disappear completely in wake of human expansion. Natural regeneration therefore can no longer cope with the high demand owing to its limited ability the slowness of its process and the heterogeneity and poor quality of most timber
