Abstract
Studies on the effects of relative humidity on the development of eggs and nymphs ofA. tomentosicollis showed that relative humilities in the range of 30 1:0 100 percent R.H. had no 'significant effect on the rate of development of both the eggs a:nd ~he nymphs. The percentage egg hatch which ranged from 90 to100 percent 'Was not affected by the relative humidity but nymphaI mortality was high at relative humidities below 40 percent and above 90 percent R.H. These results are discussed in relation to the environmental conditions which obtain in 1'he ecological zone of the spec1ies.
