Abstract
THE High Commission met once in each of the three Territories during 1953 at Entebbe, Nairobi and Dar es Salaam respectively. Sir Evelyn Baring, Chairman of the High Commission, and the Governors of Tanganyika and Uganda and the British Resident, Zanzibar, were present at each of the meetings. Two East Africa Defence Committee meetings were also held during the year-in Entebbe and Dar es Salaam respectively. At the High Commission meetings, matters of major policy of common interest to the East African Territories are considered and the Principal Executive Officers given direction.
