Abstract
Projects undertaken by the Land Resources Division of the Directorate of Over seas Surveys (Ministry of Overseas Development) since the U. N. E. S. C. O. Toulouse Conference (1964) are described. These include surveys of the land resources of Lesotho (Basutoland); the land resources of part of N. Nigeria; the Kenya Ecological and Land Use Survey; an environmental survey of Grand Cayman, West Indies, related to mosquito control, and a land use investigation of S. Malawi related to the agro-ecological survey. All these projects were based on air photograph interpretation and analysis, which methods are described and discussed.
