Abstract
Hymenolepis , the dwarf tapeworm, has a cosmopolitan distribution, but is more common in warmer than in colder climates. It is particularly common in southern Europe, U.S.S.R., India, and is frequently encountered in the southern United states and Latin America (FaustaI, 1970).
