Abstract
The fact that the West African and Congo Forest floras extend into Uganda, the Lake Province of Tanganyika and West Kenya is now so well appreciated as to almost preclude mentioning it. The genus Uvariopsis has about a dozen species in the Guineean Forest Province. One species is widespread in Uganda and I recently found it in Kakamega Forest, Kenya. The phrase 'leaf-base cordate' giv~n in the 'Indigenous Trees of Uganda' is a slip.
