Abstract
Napier and Hairless Elephant grasses are being used in the meantime as they are considered to be the best at present available.Other species will be added as promising ones emerge from C.R.S. trials.In low wet situations Echinochloa pyramidalis will be planted.Napier Grass and Hairless Elephant grass will be planted in continuous rows 5 feet apart.Drills are opened out 6 to 3 inches deep and a double row of young hard canes is laced in the drills which are then covered in and compressed.
