Abstract
The climate over the survey area is determined by its location in the equatorial low pressure belt. It is known as the intertropical covergence zone (ITCZ) between two high pressure belts produced in the north and south hemispheres. The three belt system oscillates north and south following the earth position of the sun and its zenith. The weather associated with the ITCZ will therefore pass the equator, and the survey area, twice a year, producing two rainy seasons a year. The main one occurs in March-April and the second in November.
