Abstract
The washing technique was found to be most convenient for quantitative and qualitative comparison of microflora from coffee surfaces. Its efficiency was improved by modifications on the washing process, plating method, and media, after carrying out preliminary investigations on assessment techniques. The leaf impression method was also used to give additional qualitative information on the microflora.
