Abstract
Targets treated with an oil-formulation of deltamethrin are being used experimentally to suppress G. longipennis. Results suggest that after 6 months the treated fabrics are still lethal to flies and this was checked experimentally. The divergence in population numbers between the experimental and control areas is sufficient to indicate that the targets are having an effect. Therefore the project should be continued into 1993.
