Abstract
Ten Bacterial Species’ Were Tested For Serological Relationships With MycoplasmaMycoides Var. Mycoides. Corynebacterium Xerosis, Aeromonas Hydrophila and Escherichia Coli Had Oertain Antigenic Components In Common With M. MycoidesUsing the Agar Gel Precipitin Technique. A Streptococcus Of Lancfield Group KCross-Reacted With M.. Mycoides In The Complement Fixation Test. These Bacteria Also Elicited Immediate Allergic Skin Reaction in Cattle Sensitized With M. Mycoides.Pneumococcal S XIV Antiserum Reacted In The Complement Fixation Test With M. Mycoides Antigen. The Antigens Responsible For the Observed Cross-Reactions Were Polysaccharides
