Abstract
Since Kenya became an established source of high-quality coffee about forty years ago, continuous attention has been devoted to maintaining and improving the quality of the crop.A repeating pattern of fluctuating production and price of the commodity has operated for the past 70 years and it is in relation to this pattern that the current importance of quality should be viewed.
