Abstract
The Ethiopian centre of origin of cultivated crops is an important centre of diversity of the cultivated sorghums. Sorghums exist in tremendous variability throughout the areas of sorghum production in Ethiopia. Many sorghum growing areas contain pockets of isolation, and consequently a large amount of genetic variability that is invaluable to sorghum breeding and improvement is found.
