Abstract
The centre finalized the testing of the CBPP vaccine under the funding of the welcome Trust. The Markvac project came to a close following the refusal by the national biosafety committee to grant permission for the marked rinderpest vaccine to be tested. The centre continued to offer diagnostic and surveillance services for rinderpest, PPR an CBPP. Pending activities for the previous year that require attention in the coming year include the East Coast Fever (ECF) Immunisation That Needs to Be Extended to New Districts and up scaled in the old districts and the laboratory capacity to diagnose and confirm heart water. Commercialization of the molasses urea blocks also requires new impetus
