Abstract
The pre-war policy of dealing with gluts has to be changed. There is a great world shortage of food. There is no likelihood of world glut of things in our day or in our children's say: and the stupid political policy which, not through evil thoughts but through ignorance on the part of economists, financiers, and politicians, was restricting the production of food and the distribution of food in times of so-called glut, would need to be replaced by measures in which science would be applied with all its power to improve th production of food.
