Abstract
Liberations of the new mealybug parasite, known as "Small" Angyrus, have now been made in Upper Kiambu,Ruiru and Donyo Sabuk districts.Suitable attacks of mealybug on which to make liberations of this parasite, and also the new predators obtained in Uganda last year, are not easy to find and Mr. Melville would appreciate It greatly if planters with any mealybug which they think might be suitable would contact the Research Station. The only stipulation would be that no insecticides other than those directed against ants should be used in the liberation area.Breeding work with the new insects is proceeding very satisfactorily and in addition to liberations of these new insects.stocks of Anagyrus Kivuensis can always be supplied.Any planter who is able to supply any round fifty cigarette tins would be making a very important contribution to the smooth running of the insectary because these tins are used in the parasite rearing technique and they are not easy to come by these days.
