Abstract
As Kenya moves from producing wheat for East Africa to competing in world markets, Changes in objectives and methods of wheat breeding are necessary. Quality becomes very Important, increased yields are required to Compensate for lower prices on the world Market and fewer varieties are desirable to Facilitate the change to bulk handling.
