Abstract
It was gum-boot and mackintosh weather' for this year's Planters' Day-held at the Coffee research Station, Ruiru. Although irritating r ' arid low temperatures had a damping effect on the weather, it would take more an a bit of mud and cold to keep a Kenya coffee planter away from a day out with his fellow planters. One of the advantages of annual Planters' Day is to have the opportunity of discussing the problems of coffee planting, not only with the research workers but with the planter from the other side of the country.
