Abstract
Agriculture feeds our nation, but it needs to be nourished with quality information on improved technologies otherwise it is likely to remain less productive. Farmers, Scientitists, Extensionists, and other actors must have access to almost all the information they could possibly want to grow the crops and increase agricultural production. This information must be easy to digest and apply. This manual is the first of many other future series to present sorghum and millet crop production methods and utilization guidelines. Sorghum and millet pratitioners in Kenya and their international collaborators including ICRISAT, INTSORMIL and USAID examined, evaluated and recorded the available recommendations on sorghum and millet improved varieties, soil and water management, crop management and utilization. These guidelines contained here are concerned with achieving practical results to up-grade sorghum and millet farming techniques and utilization in Kenya.
