Abstract
In 1969 the routine soil and plant analysis methods in use at Kawanda Research Station were changed so that analyses could be carried out more rapidly and reliably. The new soil analysis methods have been described in a previous paper [I]. and the new plant analysis methods are described here. As with the soil methods. The procedures involved in the analysis of plant material have been reduced to as few steps as possible, in order to increase the speed of determinations and to limit the chances for mistakes to occur. For convenience some of the reagents and standards used in the routine analysis of soils are also used in the routine analysis of plant material.
