Abstract
.This bibliography, which "comprises a faIrly complete list of papers, bulletins and other matter published in English and a considerable amount of literature published in French and German," can have few rivals in the magnitude of its scope, and certainly none within the field of agri~ culture and allied subjects. The classifica..: tion that forms the basis of the biblio~ graphy is primarily under sixteen heads. The two parts, between them two hundred pages, now noticed deal only with the first two heads; so although one of those, Silviculture, is' probably one of the biggest, the probable bulk of the whole bibliography can be guessed at over a thousand page~. The references, arranged within the subdivisions by,years, are well adapted for ready reference. It is clear that no one concerned with the literature of .forestry can work without this compilation; and almost wherever he may be the immediate effect of it will be dissatisfaction with local librarry resources.
