Abstract
The purpose of the Workshop was to consider a draft Concept Note (CN) for expansion of East Coast Fever (ECF) immunisation in Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda, in order to capitalise on the progress made to date in these countries and to respond to the increasing demand for vaccine, particularly from small-holder dairy farmers. Alleviation of the ECF constraint would reduce mortality of improved and exotic cattle, and allow increased milk production and reduced risk, leading to improved food security.
