Abstract
The ~~asai are a pastoral people who do not hunt game but they play a very important role in the ecology of the country they live in because they roam about from season to season, seeking grazint,' for their herds of cattle, sheep and goats. They burn the grass and bush as frequently as possible to open up the country and to obtain fresh green pasture.
