Abstract
The ILCA/Kenya Programme has undergone changes during 1978-1981, moving ["U"Gl les~.i.ilg individual Methods of data recording to trial studies on different forms of range livestock production and, more recently, to an Interdisciplinary investigation of range livestock production systems by integrating work in range ecologY5 livestock production economics and Sociology. ILCAS earlier work in Kenya is reported jil Dossier (~QH (15) 'Arid zones research East African range livestock systems: /\. compendium of background papers'.. The purpose of the present report is to describe the concept? Design and methodology of the interdisciplinary research which the ILCA East African Range Livestock Systems Study (EARLSS) team is currently pursuing in Kenya.
