Abstract
In March, 1937, when searching eucalyptus trees in Zomba for tea mosquito-bug (Helopeltis bergrothi Reut.), the writer discovered this weevil in considerable numbers. Its presence in the country had not been recorded before, and as it is not considered to be an insect indigenous to Africa, though known for Some years as .a pest of eucalyptus in the Union, its discovery in Nyasaland is of some interest
