Abstract
In the Mwanza District of the Lake Province of Tanganyika groundnut planted by natives mostly on low ridges and mixed with other crops chiefly cereal, such u maize and millet. Thea ridges art 5 feet apart and usually follow the contour. Consequently this method of cultivation is most effective in checking soil erosion.
