Abstract
I wish to thank the Director, KARl for supporting studies on optimizing agroinfection and for granting me permission to carry out this activity at John Innes Centre. Many thanks to Dr John Wafula, KARl Biotechnology Co-ordinator for timely commencement of the training, to Dr Florence Wamgugu, ISAAA, AfriCentre for ensuring that the facilitation role in the training needs were fulfilled. I am also grateful to Drs Peter Markham, Rob Briddon and Margaret Boulton for their technical contribution and guidance on agroinfection techniques. Last but not least many thanks to Rockefeller Foundation for approving financial relocation for the training.
