Abstract
This Paper describes silvicultural treatments applied in the South Mengo Central Forest Reserves exploited since 1952. These forests are in process of conversion to a uniform system of silviculture with monocyclic felling. Reasons for converting to monocyclic working are discussed by Philip [1] and an outline of a suggested plan for conversion in SouthMengo is given by Hughes [2]. The object here is to show how current silvicultural operations are organized and put into effect, in accordance with these principles and prescriptions.
