Abstract
This study examines the factors contributing to resistance to change in state corporations in Kenya with a particular focus on Telkom Kenya Ltd. Telkom Kenya was suitable because of the myriad occurrences of resistance to change in the recent past that had resulted to failed restructuring programs. The objectives of the study were (i) to assess whether the change agenda is adequately communicated to employees of state corporations in Kenya (ii) to investigate whether employees participate in the process of restructuring in state corporations in Kenya (iii) to establish whether there is proper implementation strategy for change in state corporations in Kenya and (iv) to investigate whether the institutionalization of change in state corporations is adequately put in place.
