Abstract
(1) Chemical tests on four browse pods show that the seed is the most nutritious part of the pod. (2) Since the seed coat is generally indigestible, it should be broken in order to make the nutritious cotyledons available to livestock. (3) To make full use of the data presented, simultaneous tests on selected palatable, pasture grasses of the veld are suggested.
