Abstract
The detrimental effects of weeds have been summarized by Robbins, Crafts, and Raynor as follows:- (a) Competition for mineral nutrients. (b) Increased costs of labour and equipment. (c) Reduced quantity and quality of livestock products. (d) Increased susceptibility of crop plants to attack by insect and fungus pests. (e) Reduced land values. (f) impaired health in man and stock.
