Abstract
Two species of Brown Bugs, Acanthomia tomentosicollis Stftl and A. horrida Germ have been recognized as pests of legumes for a long time. The biology of these bugs was studied for the first time in Arusha area of Tanzania (Materu, 1968) and studies on the nature and the amount of damage caused by these bugs have been reported elsewhere (Materu, 1970).
