Abstract
A large number of pasture grasses have been introduced for trial in, the past but ~ the whole these have not proved successful. Bromus marginatus and Paspalum dilalJltum have given good results in some of the ,moist Highland areas, but scope for their de~elopment is rather restricted as ttiey only thrive under a limited margin enjoying favoip-able conditions. Digitaria. poieevansii, Digitaria pentzii an.d other species have given proII].ising results in some of the dry areas, but again 1here is not much scope for extension as they-have to be propagated from root,s.
