Abstract
A major pest of coffee trees in the Kilimanjaro area of Tanganyika is the white coffee borer (Anthores leuconotus Pasc). One possible method of control is to treat the coffee tree trunks with DDT or other persistent insecticides. Experiments are described in this paper which were carried out to obtain accurate information on the persistence of DDT deposits.
