Abstract
The manner in which correspondence and communication is handled in an organisation is very important in that it gives the first impression of the character of that organisation. In any coordinated organisation the procedure for correspondence would be such that correspondence is transacted on behalf of the organisation. Officially this is accomplished by conducting comrr.unication and correspondence in the name of the highest office of that organisation. It is important that all technical and administrative matters which concern the Kenya Soil Survey are issued in the name of the organisation and copies of such correspondence filed in the appropriate files.
