Abstract
The animals of economic importance depend to a very large extent on foodstuffs of plant origin, and hence are dependent upon plants as the source of dietary vitamins, or their precursors, in order to remain healthy they must have available to them food of sufficient quality and variety to supply all essential vitamins, There is a considerable variation in the vitamin content of different fodders, or the same fodder at different stages of maturity, and this variation is frequently exaggerated under tropical conditions,
