Abstract
Monthly mean winds at low level over Kenya and some adjoining areal han been collected and presented here as a series of monthly maps of flow at 3000 ft, 5000 ft, 7000 ft and 10,000 ft above mean sea level. The maps show lome interesting featurel of the monSOOD streams, particularly over the eastern part of Kenya, and a study of the maps for different lenls shows how the average change from one season to another takes place. AIIO, the patterns form a useful climatological framework against which to view recent ltudies (1, 2, 3) of bl,h-energy flow at low level over the area.
