Abstract
One of the most valuable services that the new book on the birds of Kenya and Uganda (Jackson and Sclater, 1938) performs for the ornithologist in East Africa is to indicate the gaps in the recorded information. For the first time it is possible easily to obtain some idea of which items among the miscellaneous field-notes one incidentally accumulates should be published. It is with this guide that most of the following notes have been selected.
