Abstract
amongst the most important pests of Coffea arabica 1. in Kenya and indeed East Africa, are the leaf-miners Letteoptera meyricki Ghesq. and L. catteina Wshbn. The former is the dominant species in un shaded coffee, which produces the bulk of Kenya's crop, and the latter in shaded coffee. Crowe (5 , 6, 7) and Bigger (2) have outlined the bionomics and control of these pests in Kenya and Tanzania respectively
