Abstract
The policy governing the activities of the Organization has been outlined in previous annual reports. It has remained unchanged during 1952. The programme of tsetse research has been maintained and extended. Research on the trypanosomes associated with human sleeping sickness was resumed towards the end of the year and investigations into some aspects of animal trypanosomiasis have been undertaken in accordartce with a plan prepared in consultation with the Research Officers doncerned. Preliminary investigations in connection with studies bf trypanosomes in tsetse flies have been encouraging. The integration of research work on the main problem of trypanosomiasis has thus made steady progress and a proper balance between the main centres of tsetse and of trypanosomiasis research has been established
