Abstract
Termite control has previously relied almost exclusively on the use of organchlorine insecticides. However, due to the severe restriction and banning of organchlorine use, the postorganochlorine era is looking into other environmentally-friendly termite control strategies. The project's overall objective is to develop an integrated pest management (IPM) system for termites in various sectors of the economy (agriculture, forestry, building protection). This will include chemical, cultural and biological options for reducing termite damage.
