Abstract
Much work has been published on the effect of meteorological factors on both annual and perennial tropical crops in which rainfall seems to be the most important factors. Fisher (1925) Found that rainfall had a substantial effect on the yield of wheat by accounting for as much As 40 percent of the total variation at Rothamsted. Faisal (1968) studied the effect of rainfall on yield of cocoa in Ghana. He found a positive correlation between yield and rainfall at certain times of the year hut a negative correlation at other times. From his studies, a Maximum variation of 31 percent accounted for the regression of yield on the total rainfall Of February to April in the Eastern region of Ghana.
